The latest trend in the hair care department has officially made its way to my shower and I have to say I am obsessed.
A few months back, Formulate reached out to me asking to try their custom-made shampoo and conditioner. I had seen so many ads for custom products and I could not wait to try them for myself. I know we can all relate to feeling very indecisive in front of the haircare aisle. There just has to be a way to find a product that will satisfy all your hair needs.

The 1st step in the process begins with filling out their survey. This will give them all the information the engineers will need to create your unique shampoo and conditioner.
You be asked questions about your hair, the climate you are living in, your hair goals, and you will even be able to pick out the scent you like for your products.
After submitting your quiz your products should deliver in a little less than a week!

Here is a little background on my hair, I have naturally wavy/ thick hair. Over the last 2 years or so I have been training my hair to last almost a week without having to wash it. Now, I can easily get away with two hair washes per week and overall I have seen my hair's health improved.
My first wash with Formulate felt was very different from all the other hair washes I was used to because their formula does not have any preservatives, parabens, and sulfates. I found the shampoo wasn't lathering well to help breakdown the product build up I had from the week.
To help make the process easier along the way, the Formulate representative was checking up regularly and taking my feedback back to the chemist to help perfect my shampoo and conditioner.
I will admit, it did take 3-4 shampoo and conditioner swaps before finding my ideal formula. Some of my formula updates included more hydration, ingredients to help breakdown product build-up, and even a scent change! After a few weeks, I noticed my hair was growing a lot faster and my frizz was much more tame with a lot of shine (random people were even giving me compliments about my hair).
Overall Opinions: I am very pleased with my shampoo and conditioner after a few formula changes. The customer service was very accommodating to my changes and had a quick delivery service. These products are priced at $49 for both, or $29 for just the shampoo or conditioner. Both come in 14oz sizes.
